my joys

Bea had been sleeping for a while and when she woke up she had these silly faces on. Reminded me a lot of a little old lady and I enjoyed giggling at her while I took the pictures. The quality isn't very good since they were mostly taken in the dark stairwell. She likes to stick her tongue out. Matt has always said I have a catfish tongue. Now, I don't really know what that means, but both Linus and Bea have the same tongue and it's cute to watch her try to figure stuff out and that includes her tongue. My favorite thing so far about her other than her hair, long fingers, cartoon feet, well... everything I guess, is that when she lays her head on my chest, she will randomly smile and it seems to me (and I know it's just what my mind interprets a random gassy newborn act) that she is recognizing her home for 9 months and it makes her smile to hear something she knows. Her hair kills me. It sticks straight up and I can't tell if it is like her cousin Sam, her Uncle Ryan, or just baby bird hair. She reminds me of a hobbit baby with her hair the way it is, how thick it is, and the hairline along with her giant feet. I almost want to put fake fur on them and have her be a hobbit for Halloween.

At the hospital, she wouldn't stop screaming every time the lady tried to take her picture. I mean screamed and sobbed and I'd been feeding her nonstop since that morning. She'd be fine till the lady came in... three times.

Like father like son. Matt's mini me always wants to be at the computer. Always. It's tough when he keeps falling out of the chair, cries, then wants to get back up and we do that about 5 times before I decide he won't stop falling out of the chair or learn his lesson so I have to stop it. Not fun when the temper tantrum flares. =) I love that everywhere we go, people tell me how cute he is and then say "he must look like his dad." Matt was out the other day with him and a couple people said to Linus, "you are so cute!" and then looked at Matt, "oh, you look just like your dad."

This is Linus trying to bat his eyelashes. He tries to do it and he ends up doing it in slow motion. Sometimes he'll even move his mouth up and down trying to get his eyelids to go. The best is his pretty face he makes. I am not sure where he learned this, but it is exactly the same pretty face his cousin Mikayla used to make when she was little. I love it!

He's just so cute.

This is a picture of his haircut I gave him not too long ago. Not too shabby after the first disaster. He looks like a little boy!! Now I won't have people tell me how cute my little girl is when they are referring to Linus.

Crazy hair is the Bailey trademark! She is adorable!

I like the picture of Linus at the computer with his pretty face.
I can't wait to see them at Christmas.
